Brazil: Seleção de Cinema
Fondazione Sistema Toscana‘s Quelli della Compagnia and Cinema do Brasil present Brasil: Seleção de Cinema, the best of contemporary Brazilian cinema, in Florence for the first time at the Odeon Cinema, February 13 to 16. The event represents a rare chance to see up-close the protagonists of a constantly evolving film industry. Ten films are scheduled, nine of which will be debuting in Italy. There will also be several international guests and opportunities to discuss present-day Brazil. Serra Pelada, directed by Heitor Dhalia and starring the great Juliano Cazarré, will open the festival on Thursday, February 13 at 8:30pm. The festival is sponsored by the Brazilian Embassy and the Ente Cassa di Risparmio di Firenze – Osservatorio per Le Arti Contemporanee, and organised in partnership with COSPE, Istituto IBRA, and the Marino Marini Museum.
