Threadgill&Zooid in concert
Evento inserito nella rassegna Crescendo
On the occasion of the third event of the Crescendo project – born out of a collaboration between Musicus Concentus, Osservatorio Per Le Arti Contemporanee Ente Cassa di Risparmio di Firenze and ETI – Teatro della Pergola – the florentine theatre hosted one of the crucial contemporary jazz artists, Henry Threadgill, in concert with his ensemble Zooid.
Composer, saxophonist, flutist and multi-instrumentalist, Threadgill continues in the footsteps of the great jazz players such as Jelly Roll Morton, Charles Mingus, and Albert Ayler. He is one of the founders of the AACM Chicago, the association for the development of creative musicians.
