Works from the collection of the Frac Champagne-Ardenne
In order to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the twinning agreement between Florence and Reims, the Museo Marino Marini has invited the FRAC Champagne-Ardenne to present a selection of major works from its collection for the very first time in Italy. The collection consists of more than 800 artworks representing the extraordinary diversity of aesthetics and mediums in contemporary art practices from the 1960s to the present.
With works by Dara Birnbaum, Martin Boyce, Tom Burr, Julien Carreyn, John Coplans, Erik Dietman, Jimmie Durham, Latifa Echakhch, Ruth Ewan, Robert Filliou, Aurélien Froment, Cyprien Gaillard, Luigi Ghirri, Paolo Gioli, Rodney Graham, Lothar Hempel, Pierre Huyghe, Barbara Kasten, Matt Mullican, Christodoulos Panayiotou, Émilie Pitoiset, Lili Reynaud-Dewar, Clément Rodzielski, Jeff Wall, Franz West and Michele Zaza.
This exhibition is supported by the City of Reims, the French Ministry of Culture and Communication, the Regional Council of Champagne-Ardenne, The Institut Français Firenze, The Fondazione Nuovi Mecenati, and The OAC Ente Cassa di Risparmio di Firenze and it is organized under the patronage of the City of Florence.
This exhibition is part of a year-long program of collaborations and offsite projects with artists, professionals and different partners developed in France and abroad by the FRAC Champagne-Ardenne during its renovation.
