Artforum International Magazine is a historic and widely respected publication dedicated to the discussion, critique, and promotion of global contemporary art. We primarily publish scholarly essays in the field of contemporary art, complemented by artist portfolios and reviews of exhibitions at galleries and museums around the world. Our online and print content also includes interviews and texts on performance, architecture, sound, and books.
Editorial internships are available for recent graduates with backgrounds in art, art history, journalism, and the humanities. We seek highly motivated, responsible, and detail-oriented individuals who have experience with research and fact-checking and a keen interest in art. Interns may also be tasked with interview transcriptions, cataloguing, library maintenance, photo research, book orders, and correspondence. Interns will develop an understanding of how a magazine operates across web and print platforms. Applicants should be prepared to dedicate one to three days per week to the internship.
