Stanze segrete

Evento inserito nella rassegna Festival Oltrarno Atelier 2012

Stanze segrete_Festival Cerbiatti del nostro futuro (Secret Rooms_Fawns of our Future Festival) deals with a large section of Florence, the Oltrarno neighbourhood, by relating various places to each other in a complex geography, unique in its kind, through the poetry of choreographed actions carried out by young dancers. The project assigns children the task of showing us keys for reading certain precious, unique spaces in relation to the practice of their bodies, of dance and their ways of seeing. The different itineraries include artisan workshops, the Hall of Statues in the Pitti Palace, the Tribune of Galileo in the “La Specola” Museum of Natural History, the former church of San Carlo dei Barnabiti, the Last Supper in Santa Maria del Carmine, and the Cango Saloncino Goldoni.
The works are represented solely by the children involved in the project and magically prompt a renewed perception of these places. The project’s basic themes are tactility, the nature of the gaze, mnemonic agility, and the present time that coincides with places of experience, together acting as a sort of manifesto on the art of the body in relation to city spaces and the age of man.
